How to Check a Chauffeur Discount Before Booking

A discount code can reduce the quoted fare, but the final value depends on the promotion’s terms. Before confirming a journey, check what the code covers, which bookings qualify and whether excluded charges remain payable.
Confirm that the offer is current
Promotions may have an expiry date, limited allocation or booking window. A code shown in an older article or image may no longer be valid. Ask for confirmation if the checkout does not display the reduction clearly.
Check who is eligible
Welcome offers are often restricted to new clients or a first completed booking. The operator may use the passenger, payer, email address, telephone number or account to determine eligibility.
Understand the qualifying booking
A code may apply only to selected journey types.
Transfers and hourly hire
Point-to-point transfers and hourly bookings can use different pricing rules. Confirm whether the offer applies to both and whether an hourly service has a minimum hire period.
Vehicle categories
Some promotions exclude specialist, subcontracted or on-request vehicles. Check that the selected category qualifies before relying on the discounted total.
Dates and locations
Peak dates, major events, journeys outside the normal operating area or last-minute requests may be excluded. Ask whether the travel date and complete route meet the conditions.
Find out what the percentage covers
A percentage reduction may apply to the base journey price but not parking, tolls, airport charges, waiting time, additional stops or VAT. The written quotation should show the original amount, discount and final payable total.
Enter the code before payment
Apply the code during the booking process or provide it when requesting the quotation. Do not assume it can be added after payment has been completed.
If you are using VIP10
Check the current VIP10 terms at the time of booking. Confirm that the journey is eligible and that the 10% reduction appears on the written quotation or checkout total before paying.
Review cancellation and amendment rules
A discounted booking may still follow the standard cancellation policy. Changing the date, route, vehicle or passenger requirements could affect eligibility or cause the price to be recalculated.
Compare value, not only the percentage
A lower headline price is not useful if the vehicle is unsuitable or important charges are omitted. Compare the final inclusive quote, luggage capacity, waiting-time allowance and amendment terms.
Discount-code checklist
Before payment, confirm:
• the code is current
• the passenger or account is eligible
• the journey type and date qualify
• the selected vehicle is included
• any minimum spend or hire period
• which fees are excluded
• the discount shown on the final total
• cancellation and amendment terms
Keep a copy of the quotation and confirmation. Clear written terms make it easier to understand the real saving and avoid disagreement on the travel date.
